How to reach the Venice Port

From Venice Piazzale Roma to Venice port and passenger terminal:
Piazzale Roma is the access door to get into Venice downtown, the only area reachable by car coming from the mainland. You’ll find there the information point, buses and waterbuses, taxi station and parking houses.
From Piazzale Roma piers can be reached by taxi in about 2 minutes, or with public shuttle line no. 6 which stops close to the Tronchetto bridge, a few steps away from the Passenger Terminal: click here for bus no. 6 time schedule
Shuttle bus to/from Marittima/Cruise Terminals - Piazzale Roma: Operating when ships are embarking and disembarking cruise passengers on Monday, Saturday and Sunday: every 15/20 minutes. People Mover (2 minutes trip): This new public transportation system made of a land funicular, thanks to regular connections guaranteed from 7 AM to 11 PM with a current frequency of 8 minutes, allows to reach ‘Piazzale Roma’ in less than 2 minutes
